About SimpleTools Daily
An independent project publishing free, browser-based calculators and converters.
What this site is
SimpleTools Daily is a small independent project that publishes browser-based calculators and converters for daily problems: estimating loans, checking body composition, converting units of measure, planning around dates, and a few utilities for developers. Every tool runs locally in your browser. There is no account, no upload, no sign-up wall.
Why it exists
Most popular calculator sites are stuffed with intrusive ads, autoplaying video, and content engineered to push users from one search-result page to another. The tools themselves are buried under disclaimers and SEO filler that does not actually help anyone.
SimpleTools Daily takes the opposite approach: each tool is its own page, focused on doing one thing well, with a short, plain-language explanation of when and how to use it. The interactive forms compute results instantly as you type. The supporting writing — formulas, worked examples, FAQs — is here because we use these tools ourselves and find that the explanation is often what someone actually needs.
How tools are built
Every calculator and converter on this site was written specifically for this project. The math behind them comes from standard, publicly known formulas (the loan amortization formula, the Mifflin-St Jeor BMR equation, ISO 8601 for week numbering, and so on). Where a formula is approximate or controversial, we say so and link to alternatives.
None of the calculators send your inputs to any server. Everything from BMI to mortgage math to regex testing runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools will still work.
Editorial approach
For each tool we publish, the page includes: the formula used, a worked example with realistic numbers, when the tool is and is not appropriate, common caveats, and answers to questions that come up repeatedly. We avoid filler text. We avoid claiming any tool can replace professional advice (legal, medical, tax, or financial) — they cannot, and we say so plainly on every relevant page.
Who runs it
SimpleTools Daily is a one-person project. If you find an error, have a suggestion, or want to request a tool, please get in touch via the contact page. Corrections are welcomed and acted on quickly.
How the site is funded
The site is supported by Google AdSense advertising. Ads, where they appear, are clearly distinguishable from the tool content and never interfere with calculator inputs or results. We do not accept sponsored placements, paid product reviews, or affiliate-linked recommendations inside tool descriptions. If a tool is mentioned, it is because it is genuinely useful — not because someone paid for the mention.
